Causes of burns scars :

Hot liquids: 50 %
Flame : 30 %
Contact : 10 %
Electricity : 4 %
Chemical products : 4 %
Other : 2 %

Effects of water cures: at an early stage the water cures calm the pruritus (itching) and speeds up the process of scar repair. At a later stage the hardened scars are softened which means the integuments are better prepared for surgical repair. Improvements can be noted as from  the 2nd week of treatment and are maintained and multiplied over the following 2 to 3 months.

During this stage scars are inflammatory and can cause itching.
Crenotherapy is used to calm the inflammation. The patient undergoes treatments in thermal baths as well as at a reeducation center.
